Explore Twenty-Nine Latest Game Cards from Magic: The Gathering's TMNT Set (Featuring a Commander Precon Deck!)
Everyone's beloved pizza-loving heroes are making their way to Magic: The Gathering. The popular TCG's company, Wizards of the Coast, announced a highly anticipated Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles expansion during a special event hosted at New York Comic Con. Could this be a exciting addition or yet another Universes Beyond cash grab? Let you decide.
Take a look below at everything revealed from the Magic x Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles set, including some useful context. Everything listed below launches on March 6, 2026, except for one item — the Pizza Bundle drops a few weeks later on March 27.
Magic x TMNT: Main Set Cards
Before we get into all the various unique products and bundles available, we’ll examine at all the cards from the main Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles set unveiled by Wizards. Play boosters for the set are priced at $6.99 each, while premium boosters should run $37.99 per pack.
Let's unpack a couple of shell-shocking features. To begin, a new gameplay mechanic named Sneak Attack, which is a riff on the pre-existing Ninjutsu ability, in which gamers can cheat powerful creatures into the game field whenever an attacker goes unblocked. The big difference in this case is that Sneak can apply to spells that aren’t creatures too. Wizards also took the opportunity to refine the mechanic a little (It is treated as playing a spell, as opposed to Ninjutsu). The original ability isn't going away, but chances are we'll see the new mechanic in future sets moving forward.
Should we were to return to Kamigawa, we might use Ninjutsu because that plane is it originated and it’s a hallmark to that,” a senior game designer stated. “But on other planes, because the rules are cleaner and Sneak is what's going to be in standard, it’s probable that we'd use the updated version.”
Another version of Leonardo, Sewer Samurai, is one of four special cards with unique artwork designed exclusively for the expansion by Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles co-creator the co-creator.
Oh, and, if you're shocked by the card text on Turtles Forever card, which lets you play game cards that aren't in your deck, so was I. Yet as per Wizards, it’s now a legal card in all formats of Magic.
Anyway, here are the extremely bizarre full-art lands from this set:
Following the company’s current policy, these cards are all legal in Magic’s Standard format. Developers say they took care to ensure the new cards and gameplay elements worked smoothly with other Standard sets like Edge of Eternities.
“I headed the development for 15 months and we knew it was going to be in standard and which sets were going to be alongside it in Standard,” a lead designer commented. “We designed to make sure that they work well with certain expansions like Edge of Eternities.”
As an instance, both TMNT and Edge of Eternities feature a blue-red archetype focused on artifact cards.
“They combine to offer the components for a enjoyable Standard deck,” the designer added.
Preconstructed Commander: Turtle Power
Following a decision to design any pre-constructed Commander decks for the Spider-Man set and the forthcoming Avatar: The Last Airbender collaborations, Wizards is reversing course with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. This time it’s just a single precon, but it includes six different legendary cards who could work as your Commander depending on how you pair them (five cards have a special Partner mechanic called “Character Select” that lets you start with two of them in the command zone instead of only one). Check them out below:
This Commander deck is set at $69.99, although the price may rise based on demand. Wizards indicated that it contains 43 brand-new cards altogether, which translates to an additional 37 Turtle-themed game cards in addition to the six legendary creatures pictured earlier. (Doing some rough math, that also means about 20 reprints if we assume the deck comes with 37 land cards.)
What will the Turtles edition of the iconic Sol Ring look like? We’ll just have to wait and find out.
TMNT Bundle (Standard Edition)
Typically, Wizards is offering a bundle. It costs $69.99 and includes the following:
- 9 Play Boosters
- Fifteen Foil basic lands
- Fifteen Regular land cards
- Two helper cards
- One Traditional foil promo card

Pizza-Themed Bundle
This is a special idea for the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles collaboration, primarily because it comes in a box resembling a pizza box. Every pizza-themed bundle costs $99.99 and comes with the items below:
- 9 Standard Boosters
- 1 Premium Booster
- 25 Non-foil pizza-themed lands
- Five Foil pizza basic lands
- Two Foil Pizza Bundle promo cards

For those curious about the “Pizza Bundle promo card” means, it’s essentially a reprint of an older card featuring brand-new Turtle-themed artwork. Wizards revealed one for the popular Magic card Dark Ritual featuring art of Splinter sprinkling black licorice pieces on a pizza. There are six different pizza promos in total.
The Pizza Bundle launches a couple of weeks later than the core set on March 27, 2026.
Draft Night
This unique product is made for a four-person draft and is priced at $119.99. It includes:

Turtle Team-Up
Lastly, the developers are introducing a new concept with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles as part of its ongoing effort to create Magic products aimed at beginners. In this case, the cooperative set is a special set of decks that let you and a friend team up to face a “Boss” enemy deck that pilots itself.
The concept is that each Boss card gives special abilities to the creatures included in the Boss deck. Each Boss automatically plays an additional card each turn, and you’ll start off battling {one Boss|
